Use the numbered pages to view thumbnails and choose your themes. After you chosen your theme, go to the letter page that corresponds to the title, and download from there. Do not click on a thumbnail to set wallpaper. If you do that, your wallpaper will be a duplicate of the entire page, not a full sized version of that particular thumbnail.
The following files are stored offsite: Themes, IE Skins, Screensavers, and Stationery. When you click on Download, you will be taken to a download page. After it loads, you will have the option to View the terms of the file (an explanation of freeware), or to start the download (which will launch the download immediately). Games and Programs are stored onsite, so clicking on Download will launch the download immediately.
Theme files are in .zip format. You will need a zip utility to unzip them. If you do not have one, you can download WinZip here. Theme files are stored in C:\Program Files\Plus!\Themes. If you have Plus!, WinZip should put the files in that folder for you. Sometimes, Plus! will not show the wallpaper in the preview panel. If that happens to you, just uncheck the box marked Font and window sizes, and apply the theme. After that, everything should work fine. If you do not have Plus!, you can downlad Desktop Architect here. Desktop Architect is a theme manager which looks and acts very much like Plus!. Some of the sound files used in my theme files are mp3.wav files. If you cannot hear them, download mpeg3 here. After you install it, you should be able to hear the sounds.
The Windows XP version of Plus! is completely different from the previous version. If you are using Windows XP, choose the Windows Classic style. Then create a new folder in C:\Program Files, and name it Plus!. Open that folder, create another new folder inside it, and name it Themes. Your theme files shoud go into that Themes folder. Download Desktop Architect to manage your themes.
Stationery files are for use in Outlook Express. They are in .exe format. to install them, just click Unzip. To use your new stationery, open Outlook Express, go to the toolbar, click on Message, and choose New Message Using, then Select Stationery. You will then get a window from which you can choose your stationery.
To use IE Skins, you must be running IE5.5 or higher. You will also need to install a small program in order to use them. You can download it here. IE Skins are in .exe format. After downloading, just click Unzip. the files will be put into the correct folder.
Screensavers are also in .exe format. The default filepath is C:\Windows\System. This path works fine for Windows 9x systems. Just click Unzip. This will not work for Windows XP. If you are using Windows XP, change the filepath to C:\Windows (backspace out "\System"), then click Unzip.
Games and Programs
The games and programs are in either .zip or .exe format. Since I didn't make these files, I may not be able to help if you have a problem. However, I do use many of them, so feel free to ask.
